Did you know that hemp seeds are nature’s coolest superfood?
For the newbies, hemp hearts are the seeds of the hemp plant that have had their hard outer casing or shell removed. They have a delicate, nutty flavour, are incredibly versatile, and pack an incredible nutritional punch.

- Twice the protein content of chia or flax seeds, with half the carbs.
- Contain an impressive 18 amino acids — including all 9 essential amino acids that our bodies can’t produce on their own.
- Contain gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid shown to be helpful in fighting inflammation.
- Contain nature’s ideal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids (3:1).
- An excellent source of minerals such as phosphorus, niacin, thiamine, manganese, copper, magnesium, iron, and zinc.
- A good source of folate and Vitamin B6.

Enter the whole-grain, gluten-free, no-knead, no-mess, life-changing loaf of bread. This bread is adaptable to your mood and your pantry. Swap in like for like (nuts for nuts, grains for grains, and so forth), and your life can change a little bit differently every time.
This Raw Hemp Protein Brownie was definitely a favourite in our office! It is raw, has no refined sugars and with that little citrus kick from the lemon zest it was the perfect morning tea treat.
This is a beaut recipe created by Simon Gault. Not only is this shortbread super tasty, and perfect with a cuppa but we reckon the flecks of hemp hearts make it looks just a little bit fancy. Get creative with your cookie cutters.
