As the seasons change so does our desire for certain foods. We tend to crave more warming dishes and those healthy fats become even more important to boost and protect our immune system as winter approaches. Plus dry skin can become an issue as we notice the colder air on our skin and the dryer warm indoor air from heaters can have a negative effect on our skin, not to mention the ravages of all that summer sun!! This raw pate has the lovely autumn crunch of walnuts and the great omega balance of hemp seed oil. Just the recipe on hot toast with a bowel of warming soup yum!!

1 cup raw walnuts
1 Tbsp minced brown onion
1 Tbsp fresh parsley
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp Hemp Farm’s hemp seed oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Soak walnuts in water overnight
The next day, drain the walnuts and then process along with parsley, garlic, onion, lemon juice, salt & pepper, and hemp seed oil in a blender or food processor.
Delicious on sourdough bread or your favourite chopped vegetables.
