MEET MAATEIWARANGI “THE BEAST” HETA-MORRIS
Maateiwarangi is a champion New Zealand arm wrestler, powerlifter, actor and tā moko artist.
He has been one of New Zealand’s dominant super-heavyweight arm wrestlers, competing at the highest levels of the sport and earning major titles across New Zealand, and Oceania, as well as winning super matches in America and Europe.
His strength extends beyond arm wrestling. Maateiwarangi has also made his mark in powerlifting, including a 262.5 kg bench press - setting a New Zealand record
But his story is about more than numbers and championships.
Sport played an important role in changing the direction of his life. Today, Maateiwarangi is also recognised for his involvement in the wider arm-wrestling community, mentoring and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
Away from competition, Maateiwarangi has built a career in acting and works as a professional tā moko artist.

VOICE OF TAI KALISO — GEARS OF WAR: E-DAY
Maateiwarangi’s journey extends well beyond the arm-wrestling table. He is also the voice of Tai Kaliso in Gears of War: E-Day, bringing his own powerful presence and cultural connection to the iconic character.
Tai Kaliso is a fan-favourite character from the Gears of War universe, known for his strength, warrior spirit and islander heritage. The Coalition cast Maateiwarangi Heta-Morris for the role, recognising the natural connection between the athlete and the character.
As Gears of War narrative director Matt Searcy described the casting: “He’s a living Tai.”
For Maateiwarangi, the role adds another remarkable chapter to an already diverse career — from New Zealand bench-press record holder and long-standing Aotearoa arm-wrestling champion, to actor, tā moko artist and now the voice of one of the franchise’s most respected characters.

Meet Sam Harvey – Hemp Farm Ambassador
We’re proud to have endurance athlete and mental health advocate Sam Harvey as a Hemp Farm brand ambassador. Sam is currently preparing to break the ultramarathon world record - all while raising vital funds and awareness for mental health.
To support his performance and recovery, Sam relies on Hemp Farm, Protein and Hemp Seed Oil Capsules to maintain healthy joints and aid recovery during intense training cycles.
Sam is the NZ Backyard Ultra Record Holder and the 2023 World Record Backyard Ultra Assist. He recently won Dead Cow Gully 2024 with an incredible 69 loops (462 km), first Kiwi to win at Tarawera by UTMB Miler 2025, and ranked 9th at Big’s Backyard World Championship 2023.

Ambassador Spotlight: JED MILDON
BMX Legend | Nitro Circus Athlete | Guinness World Record Holder
Meet Jed Mildon – a true pioneer in action sports and a proud Hemp Farm Ambassador. Hailing from Taupō, New Zealand, Jed has spent over two decades pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on a BMX bike. At 34, his legacy is already cemented in the history of extreme sports.
In 2011, Jed made global headlines by landing the world’s first triple backflip on a BMX – a feat that not only changed his life but also redefined the sport itself. The jaw-dropping video went viral overnight, earning more than two million views and launching Jed into international stardom.
His fearless creativity and relentless drive caught the attention of Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus, and in 2013, Jed officially joined the Nitro team during their New Zealand tour. Since then, he’s been a standout member of the Nitro Family, known for giving 110% in everything he does and inspiring others to live with passion and purpose.
