Festive Cheese Ball

Festive Cheese Ball

Who doesn't love a cheese ball on a grazing platter? This one is a little Christmassy with the addition of dried cranberries and pistachio nuts but these can be swapped out for whatever you have on hand. The recipe makes a really generous sized cheese ball so if you're not feeding a crowd perhaps halve it. Serve with a selection of crackers and vegetable crudités. An absolute crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 250 g Cream Cheese
  • 250 g Grated Tasty Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped red onion (or a couple of spring onions)
  • ½ cup Dried Cranberries
  • ¼ cup Tomato Sauce or Chutney
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • ¼ cup Hemp Hearts (for crust)
  • ¼ cup Chopped Pistachios (for crust)

Directions

  1. In a bowl combine the cream cheese, tasty cheese, onion, and sauces. The mixture will be quite wet and sticky.
  2. Roll the ball in the hemp/pistachio crumb and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
  3. Variations: Sundried tomatoes, gherkins, olives, pineapple, parsley, spring onion, walnuts, apricots etc, etc.
