Hemp hearts can be used to make a crunchy and nutritious crumb coating for tofu, chicken, prawns, etc - So versatile!
This recipe makes enough crumb to coat a block of Tofu, or around 300g of meat, seafood, or anything you like.
If you're feeding more than two people, just double the recipe.
Directions
- You will need three separate bowls for dipping. One each for the cornflour, beaten egg and almond meal/hemp heart mix.
- As you would normally do with a breadcrumb coating:
- First coat your Tofu/Meat/Seafood in the cornflour
- Then dip it in the beaten egg. Make sure you get both sides.
- Then coat it in the half and half mix of almond meal and hemp hearts.
- Bake at a temperature that is relevant to the Tofu/Meat/Seafood you are using, until cooked to your liking.
