Hemp Hummus

An absolute crowd favourite at the Trade Shows. This hemp hummus is made extra delicious by incorporating our Kiwi Hemp Seed Oil; creating a twist on tahini, we call it ‘hempini'. Impress friends and family with this yummy addition to every fresh and healthy meal.


  • 400 g Chick peas (one tin)
  • Glove of garlic
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Hemp-hini
  • 2 tbsp Hemp seed oil
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 pinch Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 100 g Hemp hearts toasted
  • ¼ cup Hemp seed oil


  1. Hemp-hini
  2. Toast off the hemp hearts use a dry fry pan over a medium head add hemp hearts to the pan and move around with a wooden spoon constantly till golden, remove from the pan they will continue to cook for a while allow to cool down complete before using.
  3. Add Hemp hearts to a blender.
  4. Add 1/4 cup of Hemp seed oil and blitz for 2-3 min. Scrap down the sides and blitz once more to form a buttery paste.
  5. Hempy Hummus
  6. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until combined or looks like sour cream. Season to taste.
  7. If you would like a loose hummus ad a little more hemp seed oil.
  8. Tip – you can also add roasted pumpkin, beetroot, roasted carrot or any other ingredient you wish to create some colourful variations to your amazing hemp hummus.
