Nutty Granola Slice – raw

An easy to make grab and go breakfast or the perfect mid-afternoon snack using our premium vegan-certified, NZ grown hemp seeds, and your choice of fruit and nuts. Plenty of fibre to keep you full and energy to keep you going!


  • ¾ cup Coconut oil (eg. Blue Coconut)
  • ½ cup Honey (or adjust to required sweetness level)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon (or mixed spice if you like)
  • 3 cups Rolled Oats
  • 3 cups Mixed Nuts & Seeds e.g. Chopped raw almonds, shredded coconut, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and around 1/2 cup of hemp hearts
  • 1 cup Chopped dates (or other dried fruit of your preference eg. apricots, ginger, cranberries ...)


  1. Melt coconut oil, honey and spices in a large saucepan.
  2. Once melted, turn down the heat to low and add the oats – turn to coat evenly then add the nuts and hemp hearts and stir again until well mixed. Add the dried fruit and cook gently on low for a minute or so to soften and fully coat the mixture.
  3. Tip the mixture into a regular slice tin lined with baking paper and press down firmly with the back of a large spoon.
  4. Cool for an hour then chill for at least a couple of hours in the refrigerator until really firm.
  5. If you leave an overhang of baking paper when lining the slice tin, you can use that to help you lift it out.
  6. If you want to get fancy, you can drizzle the top with a little melted chocolate before cutting into bars with a very sharp knife.
  7. Store in the fridge or freezer.
