Rice Bubble Hearts

Here's a cute recipe to try for Valentine's Day. Rice bubbles, hemp seed hearts, and mini marshmallows... and decorate away!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Rice bubbles
  • 1 cup Hemp hearts
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cups Mini marshmallows
  • White Chocolate (or icing)
  • Pink colouring

Directions

  1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Add rice bubbles and hemp hearts and stir until well coated.
  3. Press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan lined with baking paper, leaving extra to remove slice.
  4. Carefully remove slice from tray as a slab using the baking paper, and using a heart-shaped cookie cutter cut out your shapes. (You can get creative with the offcuts as well, or re-press to make more cut-outs)
  5. Refrigerate hearts until set and get creative with your decorating using white chocolate or icing.
