Simple Summer Fruit Smoothie

Raspberries, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries. Make the most of the beautiful berry fruits around at the moment and whip yourself up a creamy, cool and refreshing smoothie. You don't need a long list of ingredients to make yourself an amazing smoothie... sometimes simple is best! Smoothies make a wonderful meal replacement and calories can be adjusted up or down depending on the type of liquids and sweeteners added. Smoothies are generally creamier if you use frozen fruit but you can also use fresh fruit and add a few ice cubes to the blender!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 Frozen banana cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp Hemp hearts
  • 1 cup water or plant-based milk (reduce this if adding ice)
  • 1 Handful of ice (if not using frozen fruit)
  • ½ cup Greek yoghurt (optional)
  • 1 Sweetener of choice, e.g. maple syrup (optional!)
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein (optional)

Directions

  1. Raspberries can be swapped out for any summer berries, fresh or frozen.
  2. Whizz until smooth in a high-powered blender.
  3. Adjust the liquid according to how thick you prefer your smoothie.
  4. Decorate with mint leaves and a sprinkle of hemp hearts
